I didn’t want this one just buried in a links post, because it’s so completely spot on. I would very, very much like to post it to our company blog, but I’m not sure that our clients would see the funny side, so I’ll make do with simply putting it in my own workblog.

Actually, they forgot one detail: often, when you provide the blueprints they’ve requested, they don’t actually look at them, or at least, sign them off, and then later complain when they receive what was in the blueprints, rather than what eventually wound up being in their head.
Still should anyone ever doubt that I enjoy my job, I invite you to consider: this is almost exactly the daily experience of dealing with 90% of clients in my job, and I still do it.
Because I have brain damage, obviously.
